Have you ever considered using a Moda solids Jelly Roll or Layer Cake when making a baby or a lap quilt? I like to use precuts for the following reasons:
- The accuracy of the cut
- It saves time
- Creates less wear on my rotary blade (rotary blades are not cheap!)
- I like the pinked edges, which makes for less fraying and less clipping of threads.
The downside of using precuts for baby or lap quilts is the amount of fabric left over at the end of my project.
Wouldn’t it be great to get the benefits of precuts for smaller quilts without the expense and waste?
Thanks to Moda, this is no longer a problem for me. Moda has just introduced the Junior Jelly Roll and Junior Layer Cake — half the fabric at half the price! Moda’s new precuts come in an assortment of colors.
Quilt making just got easier!
I have a shipment of three Moda Junior precuts arriving today: Snow, 98 and Fig Tree Cream. I ordered all three of them in both Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes. I could not be more excited!
Please feel free to contact me if you are looking for any other colors as I would be happy to order them in for you.
